11/12 - In the previous video we also introduced the concept that there are typically two types of Allocation Methodology systems. The first being a “grid” or “matrix” and the second being a “point system”. Let’s dive into each of these systems.

The presenter and writer of the program, Matt Garretson, has spent 25 years of his life helping to design and administer large scale settlement programs, such as the World Trade Center First Responders, the BP Oil Spill, several Sexual Abuse settlements involving universities and religious organization and dozens of settlements involving pharmaceuticals and medical devices. He is the author of the textbook titled, “Negotiating and Settling Tort Cases,” that lays out how settlement programs should operate.
