Participating in a Mass Tort Settlement

In this series of short video lessons, Matt Garretson, author of “Negotiating and Settling Tort Cases,” summarizes his comprehensive legal work into bite sized video programs, making mass tort settlement information accessible to claimants like you. In this program he will answer questions such as: What is a mass tort case? What is a settlement? What is the difference between a mass tort and a class action? What will be required of me throughout the settlement process? What are the steps involved? How will my individual settlement amount be determined? And, how long will it take?

He will also discuss topics such as: What are healthcare insurance liens and why do I have to pay them back? What are the types of expenses that might be taken out of my settlement check? And, several other terms you may hear about throughout the settlement process.
